Ben Kinnaman CEO
Ben Kinnaman is CEO and President of Greensea Systems, Inc., Armach Robotics, Inc., and Bayonet Ocean Vehicles, Inc. With a B.S. in Physics and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in control and robotics, from Johns Hopkins University, Ben founded Greensea to develop an open architecture software platform, OPENSEA®. OPENSEA has allowed Greensea, with its partners, to quickly field novel technologies and advance operational capabilities throughout the subsea industry. Working with technology developed by Greensea, Ben founded Armach Robotics to revolutionize ship husbandry by harnessing the intelligence and autonomy of robotics.
John Dunn after a nearly 20-year career in vessel engineering, vessel and ROV management joined Armach Robotics as Vice President, Operations in 2021. John most recently was the Vice President, Subsea Vessel Operations for Harvey Gulf Subsea Solutions, a business unit he assisted in founding. John joined Armach because of the paradigm shift that intelligent, autonomous robots will bring to the ship husbandry space and the desire to help enable that change.
James Truman has been building robots since ’94 and is a veteran of the marine robotics field with 17 years’ experience between Greensea Systems (VP of Engineering), Teledyne Webb Research (Chief Engineer), and Phoenix International (Robotics Engineer). James joined Armach in 2021, as VP of Engineering to build more robots and scale the technology he helped develop at Greensea. He is leading development of the robot platform, navigation and autonomy, hull sensing, and data products.
With 20 years experience in B2B media as VP of Sales and Marketing, Rob worked with companies from all segments of the maritime space to market and sell their equipment and services globally. Rob joined Armach Robotics as Chief Growth Officer to be a part of revolutionizing ship husbandry through Armach’s intelligence based, proactive in water hull cleaning service and the change that will bring from a vessel efficiency and environmental standpoint, for the maritime industry.
Alex Kern joined Armach Robotics as Director of Sales & Marketing in 2021, building upon his 10 year career in marine robotics. Alex most-recently worked for Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Unmanned Systems division as the Regional Sales Manager for APAC/Americas. With a passion for marine robotics and a robust network of maritime leaders, Alex joined Armach Robotics for the opportunity to change the world for a more sustainable future.
Karl Lander Director, Regulatory Compliance and Outreach
Karl Lander is a 25-year maritime veteran including 20 years in the US Coast Guard. He joined Armach as Senior Program Manager from sister company Greensea Systems where he served as Director, Hull Robotics. Karl now works with ship owners, maritime regulatory organizations, and NGOs to shape policy, foster adoption, and set best practices for proactive in water cleaning of ships through the use of Armach’s service.
